As part of the Confident Christianity summer conference series, Xandra Carroll gave a talk in the cities of Wellington and Hamilton, New Zealand. She spoke remotely.
The audience in Hamilton was especially engaged and asked many questions after the lecture, which was titled “Conversations about Conservation.” In the lecture, Xandra addressed the claim that Christians should be uninvited from the table of environmentalism due to the spiritual mandate of having dominion over the earth found in Genesis 1:28. She explained the argument against Christianity and then offers a response. Xandra also showed how the secular world is motivated to practice environmentalism out of their fear of self-extinction, while the Christian worldview offers self-sacrificial love as a motive.
Please pray with us that these lectures continue to bring clarity and draw others closer to the Creator of all things.
